Established in 1989, Magna Home Products Private Limited (later rechristened Magna Industries and Exports) was born out of one man's passion to carve a niche for himself in the cluttered fast-moving consumer products segment. Magna became the first Indian company to manufacture private labels which were successfully launched in the U.S. Dollar Stores. The company has been on the International Council of Private Label Manufacturers (New York and Amsterdam)
Knowing that India is a huge market place and Indians are big spenders, Magna has inked deals with several renowned companies for development and marketing of baby care, skin care, hair care, body care, lifestyle products and fragrances.
For the Indian market, Magna has finalized a very large distribution agreement with the Sahara Group of Industries for joint marketing of these products and is also ready to sign on the dotted line with other large retail chains in India and abroad.
To achieve its goals, Magna is planning to set up offices in Germany, Dubai, South Africa; organize sales exhibitions in India, Dubai, and United States in order to interact with retailers and consumers on a one-on-one basis; and participate in Indian retail forums. Similar plans are afoot for the America, American territory.
